IMG_1515_5860 copyHey, I’m Rachel  :D. I believe that the radical road is the one less traveled.  This road may not always be paved and smooth.  It may cause you pain while you travel it but is guaranteed to give you great joy when you get to the end! Come along with me as we discover the trials, struggles, miracles, and joys that we find on the “radical road.” To find out more about me and my own “Radical Road” you can read more below :).

In 2012 I was in a car accident that resulted in a severe TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). I was half blind and in horrid pain throughout my whole body from the brain injury. My health continued to deteriorate and I later was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). These illnesses have kept me bedridden and disabled with a multitude of symptoms for years.

I was so lucky to know Jesus before all the sickness struck me. He has held my hand through all of this and faithfully been there for me. My life was already “radical” before my chronic illness because I was a “Jesus Freak”  and that tends to make your life a bit radical ;).

You may or may not have your own health issues, but YOU do have your own trials you’re facing. In my blogs I try to share what is happening in my heart and life as Christ carries me through this journey. Join me as I share what He’s teaching me through my tragedy and how He’s changing the way I see things :).

If I can encourage you of one thing let it be to never lose hope!! Scripture even refers to God as “the God of Hope.”

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

There is always hope because no matter how tough and ugly life can get, God can take our tragedies and grow something beautiful out of them. It doesn’t mean they aren’t difficult. Some days you just want to give up, I know I do. But I also know that He will faithfully be with you and I through this life and the next!! All you have to do is ask Him to be. 🙂

We’ve never met, but we have two common friends: Jesus and Kirk. Your story is inspiring because it reflects the character of Christ. Thank you, and may He bless you in His perfect measure in His perfect timing according to His perfect will.
